Our meetings take place on the second Tuesday in every month. They start at 7.30pm and last for about 90 minutes, occasionally longer. They are open to members of the public, as well as those looking to join the circle. We meet in the Lena Anderton Meeting Room at Sight Airedale (formerly the Keighley and District Association for the Blind) and the address is:
31 Scott Street
By bus – The meeting room is very close to Keighley Bus Station. Walk out of the bus station, heading for North Street, cross the road at the lights opposite the estate agents and turn right. Walk a short distance and turn left into Spencer Street. You will see a sign for the Keighley Healthy Living Network – turn right at the sign. This is Scott Street, immediately behind the Library. The Lena Anderton Meeting Room is immediately behind Keighley Healthy Living Network.
By car – If you are using a SatNav, the postcode is given above. Scott Street can be approached from either Devonshire Street or Albert Street both of which can be accessed from the A629 (North Street), and the Lena Anderton Meeting Room is behind Keighley Central Library. Parking is mostly on street, with very limited amount off street parking in the immediate vicinity.
By train – The nearest train station is Keighley, which is on the Airedale Line of Northern Rail’s Metro Services with regular trains from Leeds and Bradford (destination: Skipton). On exiting the station, turn left and cross Bradford Road by the lights opposite the Victoria Public House (now closed), keep going straight ahead, passing the road entrance to Sainsbury’s supermarket on the opposite side. This is Cavendish Street. Continue walking until you reach the end of the road and arrive at North Street. In front of you is Keighley Central Library. Cross North Street at the lights and turn left then immediately right, into Spencer Street, which has been closed off to road traffic. You will see a sign for the Keighley Healthy Living Network, and turn right at the sign. This is Scott Street, immediately behind the Library, and the Lena Anderton Meeting Room is next door to the Keighley Healthy Living Network.
